In the summer of 2019, as part of the HelloWood festival, the WE ROOF workshop was developed —a collective design and construction experience focused on building a nomadic straw roof.

The workshop explores the creativity that emerges from scarcity: when resources are limited, ingenuity becomes essential. Students, tutors, and collaborators engaged in a process that celebrated cooperation, the reuse of local materials, and the idea of the roof as the purest form of dwelling.
